As part of its mission to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the country, the INNOVATI Foundation chose César Iglesias S. A, as ‘Large Innovative Company of the Country’ in the Large Company Category.

After exhausting the evaluation process, César Iglesias, S.A. was selected based on its state-of-the-art production plants and machinery, and for being the first company to place its shares for sale to the public, upon approval of the ordinary issuance program in the stock market in the Dominican Republic.

The award was received by Mr. Jesús Feris, Vice President of Operations, in an emotional award ceremony held on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

César Iglesias is a Dominican company founded in 1910 and is recognized throughout the region as one of the most modern and innovative organizations in the national industry.

César Iglesias is the leading player in the consumer industry in the Caribbean and Central America. It has the most robust logistics structure in the country, with strategic distribution points scattered throughout the national territory and with a unique and difficult-to-replicate penetration of the traditional channel (colmados), which represent 80% of total sales in the mass consumption sector, in the Dominican Republic.

César Iglesias is the first organization in the Dominican Republic to put its shares up for sale to the public, after the approval of the first program of ordinary issues in the stock market in 2021 and after a rigorous process carried out by the Superintendency of the Stock Market (SIMV).

After 112 years of history, César Iglesias continues to make large investments to continue innovating, diversifying and staying at the forefront of the market. Currently, we are in the process of building the most complete and modern distribution center in the entire country. A megaproject, where we are investing more than RD$2,300 million pesos and where more than 800 direct jobs will be created.
